TELL THOMAS ABOUT YOUR PROJECT

A waterfront property in Naples is only half-complete without a dock that matches the standard of the home. The view from the water is the first thing guests see when arriving by boat — and the last thing they remember when they leave. We design dock structures, lighting, and landscaping around the water's edge with the same care as the front of the house.

Waterfront properties in Southwest Florida almost always involve a separate marine contractor for the dock — someone who builds the structure and walks away, with no coordination with the landscape design, the outdoor lighting plan, or the hardscape that connects the estate to the water's edge. The dock becomes a functional structure that was never really designed as part of the property.

Precision Landscaping & Design manages dock and boat lift construction as part of the complete outdoor estate — coordinated with the waterfront hardscape, the path lighting, and the planting plan from the first site visit. We work with trusted licensed marine specialists and manage the full scope under one contract. One call. One timeline.

The dock is the estate's connection to the water. We design and manage that connection the same way we manage everything else — as one system.

WHAT WE MANAGE

Complete Marine Access.
One Contract.

01

Fixed Wood & Composite Docks

Treated wood and composite decking on aluminum framing — DEP and Collier County permitted; sized and positioned to the waterway, vessel, and estate approach

02

Floating Dock Systems

Tide variation and shallow-water access solutions — aluminum frame, composite decking, anchored and permitted for SWFL tidal conditions and waterway classifications

03

Boat Lifts & PWC Lifts

Hydraulic and cable lift systems sized to vessel; electrical service run from the estate; integrated with dock footprint and estate power plan

04

Dock Lighting & Electrical

Dock lighting, power pedestals, and underwater LED fish lights — coordinated with the estate landscape lighting plan as one design; one permit set

05

Pilings & Seawall Integration

SWFL soil and tidal conditions require specific piling depths and seawall tie-in details — DEP and Army Corps coordination where applicable; managed from survey through inspection

06

Gangways & Access Ramps

Adjustable gangways sized for SWFL tidal range — coordinated with waterfront hardscape approach so the path from estate to water reads as one continuous design

07

Waterfront Hardscape Connection

Pavers, walkways, steps, and lighting from the estate to the water's edge — designed as one continuous path; dock and hardscape planned together, not fitted to each other afterward

08

Covered Boat Shelters & Canopies

Aluminum frame, Florida Building Code wind-load compliant; integrated with dock footprint and estate aesthetic — permitted as part of the same project package

MANAGED FOR SWFL

Marine Permitting Is Different Here.

1

DEP & Army Corps Permitting

Every dock in Florida requires a DEP permit. Waterway classification, dock length limits, mangrove setbacks, and setback compliance determine whether the project requires Army Corps involvement. We manage the complete permit package — from survey coordination through final approval — so there are no surprises mid-construction.

2

Collier County Setback & Size Requirements

Port Royal, Aqualane Shores, Mediterra, and other Naples waterfront communities have strict requirements for dock size, positioning, and materials. We design within HOA and Collier County requirements from the first site visit — no rework, no re-approval cycles once permitting begins.

3

Mangrove Setback & Environmental Permitting

Mangroves are the primary environmental constraint on most SWFL dock projects. State and county setback requirements protect mangrove root systems, which means dock placement, length, and access design must be engineered around the existing mangrove line — not after permits are denied. We coordinate the environmental assessment and permit package from the start.

4

Coordination With the Estate Design

The dock is designed in the initial site plan — not after the pool deck is poured and the hardscape is set. Waterfront hardscape, path lighting, and planting are coordinated with the dock from the first session — one plan, one sequence. When everything is designed together, nothing gets retrofitted.
